1. Who we are

Monkeyworks LLC, trading as MonkeyWorks, is the controller of the personal information described in this policy. We are a limited liability company organised under the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, with its registered business address at 30 N Gould St, STE R, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA, and can be reached at hello@monkeyworks.ink.

MonkeyWorks provides consultancy and digital services for startups and small businesses, including website and mobile app development, branding, marketing and ad campaigns.

This policy covers monkeyworks.ink and explains exactly what this website collects. It is deliberately specific: everything below describes what the site actually does today, not a generic template of what a website might do.

2. What we collect

The contact form is the only thing on this site that collects personal information. When you submit it we receive:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your company name (optional)
  • The budget range you select (optional)
  • The project details you type into the message field

Our hosting provider also records standard technical request data — IP address, browser user agent and timestamp — when the form is submitted. This is used for spam filtering and abuse prevention.

We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies on this website. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, no session recording, no behavioural profiling and no cross-site tracking. We do not build advertising profiles from visitors and we do not run automated decision-making on your data.

The site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google's servers and Google receives your IP address as part of that request. That is the only third-party request the site makes.

3. Why we use it, and on what basis

We use the information you send through the contact form only to:

  • Reply to your enquiry
  • Prepare a proposal or quote if you have asked for one
  • Keep a record of our correspondence with you

The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us about our services, and — where you have asked for a quote — taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.

We do not send marketing email. Submitting the contact form does not subscribe you to anything. We will only email you about the enquiry you sent.

4. Who else sees it

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

The only third party that processes contact form data is our hosting provider:

  • Netlify — hosts this website and processes the contact form submissions through Netlify Forms. Submissions are stored in our Netlify account, which is access-controlled. Netlify acts as our processor under its own terms and privacy policy at netlify.com/privacy.

Enquiries we act on may be copied into our business email so we can reply to you. Beyond that, we disclose personal information only where we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.

Netlify operates infrastructure in the United States, so form data is stored there.

5. How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not become projects — kept for up to 24 months, then deleted.
  • Enquiries that become projects — kept for the life of the engagement and for 7 years afterwards, so we can meet tax, accounting and contractual record-keeping obligations.
  • Spam and abuse — deleted as soon as it is identified.

You can ask us to delete your enquiry sooner, and we will unless we are required to keep it.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you and receive a copy
  • Have inaccurate information corrected
  • Have your information deleted
  • Object to or restrict how we use it
  • Receive it in a portable, machine-readable format
  • Complain to your local data protection authority

To exercise any of these, email hello@monkeyworks.ink. We will respond within 30 days. We will not charge you for a request or treat you differently for making one.

California residents: we have not sold or shared personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA in the preceding twelve months, and we do not do so now.

7. Security

The whole site is served over HTTPS with HSTS enabled, so traffic between your browser and the site is encrypted. Form submissions are stored in our access-controlled Netlify account.

No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security — but we will tell you and the relevant regulator without undue delay if a breach affects your personal information.

8. Children

This site is aimed at businesses and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes to how we handle information already collected will be notified to affected people by email where we hold an address for them.

10. Contact

Privacy questions, requests and complaints go to hello@monkeyworks.ink, or by post to Monkeyworks LLC, 30 N Gould St, STE R, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA. We reply within 5 business days.
